As board members of Asian Adult Adoptees of Washington (AAAW), we would like to personally thank you for being committed to AAAW through your continuous participation in our events.  Our community would not exist without engaged and active members like you.

Several years ago, AAAW eliminated our dues-collecting membership program, because of the cost of maintaining such a membership system.  As a result, AAAW made a decision to move away from member dues as a primary means of support, which means your financial contribution to our organization is vital to the continued success of our many valuable programs and activities. We have not collected dues from AAAW members for a number of years.  Now, we would like to ask our most dedicated members to ensure the future of AAAW through a contribution at a level that is meaningful to you.

AAAW has no paid staff – our board members are all volunteers – your donation will go directly to AAAW’s extensive programming.  Here is just a small sample of what we have done recently and what lies ahead:

 
In addition to the above programming, AAAW will launch our Teen & Youth Mentorship program this year!  We are very excited to bring regular opportunities for adult adoptees to meet with young Asian adoptees in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment.  AAAW will kick off the program with large group monthly events this summer then forming small mentorship clusters for an on going annual program starting October of this year!  This will NOT be possible with out your full support.  Our 100% AAAW volunteer Youth and Teen Committee as well as our adoptee mentors and mentees are excited, inspired and ready to go!

AAAW also offers a semiannual scholarship of up to $600 granted by the board of AAAW to support fellow adoptees pursuing educational opportunities that enrich their understanding of adoptees’ early cultural background.  Please help us support this important and meaningful scholarship fund.
