Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to go to Hawaii and connect with your fellow adoptees!

Honolulu
, HI
- October 10 to 13, 2008

KAHI (Korean Adoptees of Hawai'i) is excited to announce that we will be hosting an international gathering for Asian adult international adoptees in Honolulu, from October 10 to 13, 2008!

O'ahu, known among the Hawaiian islands as the "Gathering Place," will serve as the site for Hawai'i's first Asian adoptee international gathering. KAHI invites all Asian adoptees, age 18+, as well as their significant others and children, to come to Honolulu for four days of fun and friendship, films and food, local culture and sightseeing, and of course, sand, surf, sun and aloha!

Negotiations for a specially discounted room rate at the Hawai'i Prince Waikiki are almost complete, and more information will be posted soon on KAHI's website,
www.KAHawaii.org.

Asian adult adoptee film directors are also invited to contact KAHI regarding their films that explore themes of adoption or adoptee experiences. Selected films will be presented at a special Film Festival during the Gathering, along with a Q&A panel or discussion session. Complete festival entry guidelines are available on KAHI's website.

For more information, please stay tuned to the KAHI website at
www.KAHawaii.org, or e-mail info@KAHawaii.org.

Help Spread Awareness of Korea's Birth Mothers
Resilience is the first-ever documentary film to tell the deeply-moving, personal stories of Korea's birth mothers. These women's stories need to be heard in order to spread awareness and understanding about a side of international adoption that has often been misunderstood and overlooked.

Resilience is an independent production made possible by a team of dedicated filmmakers and volunteers. A 38-minute work-in-progress has been complete but more funding is needed to finish the project for an expected release in spring 2007.

If you'd like to contribute to the making of Resilience contact:
chu.tammy@gmail.com
All donations made in the U.S. are 100% tax-deductible by law.
