2003 BBQ

The AAAW 2nd Annual Summer BBQ was held at Golden Gardens in Seattle on Saturday Aug. 2nd.    The weather was nothing short of perfect with not a cloud in the sky, a cool breeze blowing in off Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains in clear view. AAAW hosted around 70 members, friends and family members for the BBQ.  This event was open to all and we had a great turn out.
All food and drinks were provided by AAAW as a way of saying "thank-you" to our membership.  Kim Holm generously donated Kal-bi (marinated Korean beef ribs) for everyone at the BBQ that she prepared herself.  It was by far the favorite food served at the BBQ.  Other items on the menu included hamburgers, cheese burgers with all the fixings, hotdogs, Polish sausage, vegi-burgers, fruit salad, potato salad and all the stuff that makes a BBQ great!
Some of the adult adoptees and teens started a game of soccer on the beach and had a blast.  Other  teen members caught up with friends and went for walks along the beach.  The parents had fun enjoying the weather, relaxing and having a chat.
AAAW would like to thank everyone who donated there time to make this BBQ possible.  We couldn't have done it with out you!  We would also like to thank all those who attended to make this event a great day out and a very successful AAAW event!
