K.I.D.S. or HOLT Culture Camp Scholarship

Korea Immersion Scholarship

Asian Adult Adoptees of Washington Board of Directors has created a scholarship program to help with funds for the “Korea Immersion Program” at Inje University in Kimhae, Kyungnam, Korea. This scholarship is offered to our Korean adult adoptee members ages 18 and up.

“Korea Immersion Program” welcomes adoptees back to Korea by offering a four month stay on the university campus while taking culture, language, and social classes to learn about their homeland.  The cost of this program includes a $600 registration fee and airfare.  Room and board are provided with an approximate salary of $25 U.S. per month for teaching English classes 1-2 hours a day during the week.

AAAW is funding the registration fee and will assist the applicant in finding a discounted airfare price.  If your essay is chosen you also need to apply and qualify for the program itself.  How do you apply for the scholarship program?

Please write an essay of 150-200 words, typed and double spaced explaining your desires, experiences, and expectations as to why the “Korea Immersion Program” is important to you and how it will affect your life.  Please send your essay to:
